What To Expect

If you haven’t been to church for a while or have never been to church at all, it can help to know what to expect when you come along, so here are some details:

We have services at 2 locations:

Meandarra - Our service time is 9.30 am. You are most welcome to join us, we look forward to meeting you!

Cnr Sara & Gibson Streets, Meandarra.

Chinchilla - We have 2 Sunday services to choose from, 8.30 am and 10.30 am.

Both services have the same content and style, the reason we have 2 services simply to have enough room for everyone.

Each service goes for approximately 1 hour 15 minutes and is followed by Morning Tea.

3 Burbank Street, Chinchilla.

Kid's Programs- Chinchilla Only

Creche (18 months-5 year olds) is available during both services, Kid's Church (primary school age - during school terms) starts at 10.30 am.

During the service, our emcee will announce when Creche is starting. Please head upstairs to sign your child in, and sign them out immediately following the service.

The Kid's church sign in area can be found under the tent. Please feel free to ask our Welcome team for assistance navigating our Kid's areas.

When You Arrive

You will be met by our friendly Welcome Team.  They can help you find a seat and show you where the children's areas and toilet facilities are. Please ask them any questions you may have to assist you in feeling at home.

What do we do in the service?

Worship

Our worship consists of communal singing of modern worship songs led by singers and a band. During this time people will participate by singing, clapping and enjoying the atmosphere.

Communion

Communion is the part of the service when we remember and thank God for our salvation through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is represented by an individual piece of biscuit and juice which will be passed along each row on trays. You are most welcome to participate with us or simply let the tray pass if you prefer.

Will We Ask For Money?

We take up an offering during the service. This money provides support for the local church and projects locally and globally. This is for our regular attenders who want to participate and is totally voluntary. Please just be our guests and enjoy our service and hospitality without feeling any obligation to give.

The Message

One of our Pastors will share a relevant life applicable message from a Bible passage for about 25 minutes. We want this time to be engaging and inspiring, and for you take home something to apply to your life.

Prayer Team

At the end of the service our Prayer Team is available to talk and pray with you. If you have any questions about the service or you would like prayer, please feel free to come forward and speak to one of the team.

Morning Tea

We love to stay after church for a cuppa and a chat. Morning Tea is served in the church hall following the 8.30am service, and in the auditorium after the 10.30 service. Please feel free to help yourself to some yummy morning tea and join us for a catch up following the formal part of the service.

What should I wear?

It is up to you. Some people wear their ‘Sunday best’ and other come very casually in shorts, thongs and t-shirt. The only guideline is what is comfortable for you. We are relaxed about it!

Any questions?

You will find our Info Desk in the foyer, please feel free to ask any question that's on your mind, large or small, or you can ask to speak to one of our Pastors.
